Your support will ensure that homeless members of our communities will have regular access to clean new socks. Thank you!
Every $1 donated provides a homeless person two pairs of clean, new socks.
There are more than 8,700 homeless people in the city of Toronto* alone and foot health accounts for 20% of their medical conditions. Since laundry facilities are not typically available, multiple pairs of socks are required over the course of a year.
To learn more about our homeless population, please visit The City of Toronto Street Needs Assessment site. The Street Needs Assessment is a needs assessment survey and point-in-time count of people experiencing homelessness in Toronto. The results provide a snapshot of the scope and profile of the City’s homeless population.
In 2018, during the course of one night, a 23 core question survey was completed with more than 2,000 individuals experiencing homelessness and staying in shelters. The results were published as the 2018 Street Needs Assessment.
An updated report is expected later in 2021.
