Your support will ensure that unhoused members of our communities will have regular access to clean new socks. Thank you!
Every $1 donated provides a person experiencing homelessness with two pairs of clean, new socks.
Why your donation matters
There are more than 8,700 people experiencing homelessness in the city of Toronto* alone, and foot health accounts for 20% of their medical conditions. Since laundry facilities are not typically available, multiple pairs of socks are required over the course of a year.
To learn more about our unhoused population, please visit The City of Toronto Street Needs Assessment site. The Street Needs Assessment is a needs assessment survey and point-in-time count of people experiencing homelessness in Toronto. The results provide a snapshot of the scope and profile of the City’s homeless population.
In 2018, during the course of one night, a 23 core question survey was completed with more than 2,000 individuals experiencing homelessness and staying in shelters. The results were published as the 2018 Street Needs Assessment.
