Sorted! Sock sorting event puts best foot forward

Toronto, ON – On November 16, Socks 4 Souls once again had a roaring sock-sess with its 6th Annual Sock Sorting Event.

Once again kindly hosted by Poly 5 Plastics at their warehouse in North York, volunteers worked throughout the day to ensure that people experiencing homelessness in Ontario would receive essential pairs of fresh socks for the winter months.

The event smashed all expectations once again, with over 70,000 pairs of socks sorted and distributed to around 170 community shelters across Ontario.

Mitch Fairrais, Director and Cofounder of Socks 4 Souls, said:

“This event is super important, as for the homeless, their feet are their mobility. To be able to walk means they can get to shelters, to food kitchens, and helps them be more able to look for jobs. It’s their only mode of transportation, so keeping their feet in good shape is our main aim.”
