Socks for the Streets Campaign 2019

Toronto, ON – For the 3rd year running, Socks4Souls Canada and Indie88’s The Josie Dye Show teamed up and collected over 103,000 pairs of socks so far for people experiencing homelessness across Ontario.

Thanks to the generosity of Indie 88’s listening community, these socks will be sorted and distributed across homeless shelters and other community partners, ensuring that people experiencing homelessness will stay healthy and warm during the winter months.

Josie Dye, host of the Josie Dye Show, said of the final tally:

“Every single year, we continue to be shocked by people’s generosity…our city and our listeners make us so proud to be Torontonians.”

The socks donated through this campaign will be sorted and distributed amongst Socks 4 Souls Canadas’ community partners in the coming weeks, and as more donations continue to pour in.

We would like to extend our greatest thanks to everyone who contributed socks, donations, time, and took part in Indie 88’s auction over these past few weeks.
